Although, in reality, it was totally unplanned,
Linda and Charlie like to think they were just
playing it smart when, after buying their
Surfside lot in early 2001, they waited until
after
Hurricane Iris did the preliminary
clearing before they started building their
house, the following year.  They’re in the dark
brown
house on the seaside with the red roof
and all the flowers in the yard.
Surfside has it's own version of Garfield and Odie with Blue and (pot-licker) Pup,
both adopted by Charlie and Linda.  Unfortunately, and this is a sad note, Pup had a
run-in with a jaguar (yes, they have been spotted in Surfside lately) and as you
might expect, came in second.  He will be sadly missed.
As if beachcombing and reading under their palapa isn't enough to keep them
busy, they are actively building a resort in Placencia as well as keeping an eye on
the neighborhood (see the Great Saw Caper in the Tidbits section).
When not hanging in Belize or wandering the world, Linda and Charlie make their
home  in Indianola, Washington, a small town across Puget Sound from Seattle. Linda
is a retired nurse practitioner. Charlie is a retired computer systems analyst.
