| Although, in reality, it was totally unplanned, Linda and Charlie like to think they were just playing it smart when, after buying their Surfside lot in early 2001, they waited until after Hurricane Iris did the preliminary clearing before they started building their house, the following year. They’re in the dark brown house on the seaside with the red roof and all the flowers in the yard. |

| Surfside has it's own version of Garfield and Odie with Blue and (pot-licker) Pup, both adopted by Charlie and Linda. Unfortunately, and this is a sad note, Pup had a run-in with a jaguar (yes, they have been spotted in Surfside lately) and as you might expect, came in second. He will be sadly missed. |

| As if beachcombing and reading under their palapa isn't enough to keep them busy, they are actively building a resort in Placencia as well as keeping an eye on the neighborhood (see the Great Saw Caper in the Tidbits section). |

| When not hanging in Belize or wandering the world, Linda and Charlie make their home in Indianola, Washington, a small town across Puget Sound from Seattle. Linda is a retired nurse practitioner. Charlie is a retired computer systems analyst. |
